When it comes to diving Bunaken, the experience is not just about what you see underwater—it’s also about who you dive with. At Aquii Dive Bunaken, every dive is guided by local knowledge, professional experience, and a genuine passion for the ocean. Led by Herol Caroles, a Bunaken-born PADI instructor, your dives are shaped by years of firsthand familiarity with the reefs, currents, and marine life of Bunaken Marine Park.
Unlike larger dive operations, Aquii Dive Bunaken focuses on small groups and a relaxed pace.
This means more personal attention, flexible dive planning, and a safer, more enjoyable experience overall. Whether you’re an experienced diver or recently certified, you’ll feel comfortable exploring Bunaken’s underwater world at your own rhythm—without pressure, crowds, or rushed schedules.
Fun Diving in Bunaken
Bunaken Marine Park is one of the top destinations in the world for scuba diving Bunaken, known especially for its dramatic vertical coral walls and exceptional marine biodiversity. These walls drop deep into the ocean, covered in vibrant soft corals, sponges, and sea fans, creating an underwater landscape that feels both vast and alive.
During your Bunaken diving experience, you can expect frequent sightings of green and hawksbill turtles, large schools of reef fish, and occasional encounters with reef sharks, eagle rays, and napoleon wrasse. Visibility is often excellent, ranging from 20 to 30 meters, allowing you to fully appreciate the scale and beauty of the reef.
Dive sites such as Lekuan, Fukui, and Siladen offer a variety of conditions—from gentle drifts to more dynamic current-assisted dives—making Bunaken suitable for divers of all experience levels. Whether you’re enjoying a slow wall dive or drifting along with marine life, diving Bunaken consistently delivers unforgettable underwater moments.
Diving Trips to Bangka & Lembeh Strait
In addition to Bunaken, Aquii Dive Bunaken can also arrange diving trips to two other world-class destinations in North Sulawesi: Bangka Island and the Lembeh Strait.
Bangka Island is known for its colorful reefs, soft corals, and excellent fish life. It offers a mix of gentle slopes and pinnacles, often with mild currents that bring in schools of fish and occasional pelagic species. Diving in Bangka is ideal for those who enjoy vibrant reef scenery and a slightly different atmosphere compared to Bunaken’s vertical walls.
The Lembeh Strait, on the other hand, is world-famous for muck diving—a unique style of diving focused on rare and unusual marine creatures. Here, divers can search for critters such as frogfish, nudibranchs, mimic octopus, and other fascinating species rarely seen elsewhere. It’s a must-visit destination for underwater photographers and macro lovers looking to experience something truly special.
